These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern sales made on the website www.moon-island.fr.
Any order placed on this site implies full and unreserved acceptance of these conditions.

The online shop is hosted by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform used to sell the products.
The products offered for sale are mainly:
Bourbon vanilla pods
natural food products
related gourmet products.
The essential characteristics of the products are described on the product pages.
Photographs and illustrations are provided for guidance only and are not contractually binding.
Prices are shown in euros (€).
Unless otherwise stated, prices include the applicable VAT (5.5% for food products, 20% for essential oils).
Moon Island reserves the right to change its prices at any time.
Products are invoiced at the price in force when the order is confirmed.
The customer can place an order directly on the website www.moon-island.fr.
Confirming the order implies:
acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale
confirmation that the information provided is accurate.
Moon Island reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of:
a payment problem
suspected fraud
incorrect information.
Payment is due immediately when the order is placed.
Payment can be made by the secure payment methods offered on the site.
Transactions are secured by payment providers.
Moon Island does not store full bank card details.
Orders are shipped to the address given by the customer when ordering.
Delivery times may vary depending on:
the destination
the carrier
logistical conditions.
Free delivery in France on purchases of €50 or more. Delivery costs are shown before the order is confirmed. Unless otherwise stated on the product page, orders are prepared within 1 to 3 working days after payment is confirmed, then delivered within the times stated in the Shipping Policy.
Moon Island cannot be held liable for delays attributable to carriers.
In the event of a delivery delay, the customer may, under the conditions set out in articles L216-2 and L216-3 of the French Consumer Code, request termination of the contract.
In accordance with European legislation, the customer has 14 days from receipt of the order to exercise the right of withdrawal.
However, for reasons of hygiene and health protection, food products and essential oils whose seal has been removed after delivery cannot be returned (article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code).
To exercise this right, the customer notifies Moon Island of the decision by email to contact@moon-island.fr, or by using the model withdrawal form available in the Returns and Refund Policy. The cost of returning the products is borne by the customer. The refund is made no later than 14 days after receipt of the withdrawal request, using the same payment method as the one used for the order.
The conditions for returns and refunds are set out in the Returns and Refund Policy available on the site.
Moon Island undertakes to supply products that match the description shown on the site.
All products benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the legal guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).
In the event of a defective or non-conforming product, the customer can contact customer service at contact@moon-island.fr, preferably with a photo of the product and the order number.
Moon Island cannot be held liable for damage resulting from:
misuse of the products
use that does not comply with the recommendations.
All elements of the Moon Island site (texts, images, logo, design) are protected by intellectual property law.
Any reproduction or use without authorisation is strictly prohibited.
Personal information collected on the site is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
These Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action.
Failing that, the French courts will have jurisdiction.
